The Cambodian Sedge Mats Business Association (CSMA) is a network of Cambodian entrepreneurs involved in the production and processing of sedge mats. The main purpose of the association is to support the promotion of sedge mats and related products and to assist the business activities of its members. Kandals are high quality hand woven sedge mats produced in the Cambodian Province of Kandal by hundreds of well established craftswomen.

The Cambodian Sedge Mats business Association CSMA is working with more than thousand women weavers. They are all working at home, i.e. under much better and convenient working conditions than any factory can provide.
For the time being the mats are mainly sold to local consumers all over Cambodia. CSMA has been established to bring this unique hand woven mat across the borders of Cambodia into the world.
